The Couse Foundation in conjunction with The Harwood Museum of Art presents a Lecture by Peter Hassrick

Describing the scope of his talk, Hassrick writes "Over the years of Sharp's illustrious and extended career as a painter, he inhabited a great number and variety of studios from Paris and Madrid to Ohio, Montana, New Mexico, California and Hawaii.  Each studio had its own Sharp-imposed, peculiar character and, in addition, its own individual effect on him as an artist.  This talk will explore Sharp's studios in context with artist ateliers of his day, their roles as creative, retail and social environments, their function as emblems of artistic stature as well as their importance in revealing to modern audiences the often forgotten element of the artist's process."

Purchase advance tickets through The Harwood Museum | 575.758.9826 | Mon-Fri 10am - 5pm  Sat-Sun 12pm-5pm or at the time of the lecture ($10 - $8 members)
